Getting started
With our kits, there's nothing to wire and no rocket science.
All of our kits have easy to follow, plain English user manuals to explain setting them up.

Grow your own fruit & vegetables indoors all-year-round
Our free guide series explains everything you need to know to grow fruits and vegetables indoors, including strawberries, carrots, chilli peppers and tomatoes.
They can walk you through different varieties to choose, sowing seeds, ideal grow environments, containers, pruning, harvesting, storing & watching out for deficiencies.

Assembling the tent
Putting our tents together couldn't be simpler. But make sure you've cleared some space so you can move around it easily.
The frame consists of metal corner adapters and poles that click into place, with everything numbered so you know where it goes.
When assembled it can stand >40kg which is way more than you'll need.
Once the frame is assembled, you wrap the tent around it, then add the frame's hanging rods to hold your equipment.

Hanging your light
The distance you hang your light and your ability to dim it is crucial to growing well.
If your plants are sprouting or stressed from deficiencies, you may want to dim the light a little.
You also need to make sure the light is hanging at the right height above the canopy, to get the right PPFD levels you're looking for, or to strike a compromise between that and the coverage area you need.
Controlling your growing environment with ventilation

An important consideration is how you want to control your growing climate and whether you want to filter the air that comes in (positive pressure) or scrub the air coming out (negative pressure).
There are 3 main variations explained here. They are all simple to set up, and the first is recommended as it controls odours from plants and keeps everything tidy.
The fan and filter are attached to the frame by lifting ropes & straps.

Managing fan speed
SproutBoxx Pro kits have an Ecotherm automated fan rated at just 28dB, making it one of the quietest in its category.
It can be setup to respond to and control humidity or temperature levels automatically by virtue of it's hygrometer sensor.
You can also have it set to run how you want, with 9 different fan speed settings to choose between. Speeds 1 and 2 are no louder than a whisper.

Saver kit fans
Saver kits have a fan rated at <32dB and the speed can be controlled by a seperate controller.
You could also plug it into the timer plug we provide for lights if you wanted it to switch on and off along with the light.

Take it the next level
Both our Saver and Pro starter kit YC/YD series grow lights feature leading-brand Mean Well XLG LED Drivers and serial daisy chain networking, allowing you to get as fiddly as you like or quickly expand a grow area.
So when you're ready to take things to the next level, you'll already have everything you need.
